OFF THE COAST OF CABO
Fishing in Dominical, Costa Rica is an incredible experience. Dominical is only 30 minutes
south of Quepos. The cobalt blue Pacific Ocean in this part of the world offers some of the
best sport fishing on the planet.
The offshore fishing grounds are in the Furuno Banks where water depths exceed 6,000 feet.
These waters lie only 30 miles from our harbor. We are always the first boat to reach the
fishing grounds since our 28 foot center console fishing machine sports twin 250’s. Marlin,
Sailfish, Dorado, Tuna, and Wahoo abound in these waters. The ocean here is extremely calm
since it is well protected from high winds by the beautiful mountains that rise up dramatically
from the beach.
Inshore fishing can offer an exciting experience as well. We regularly catch Roosterfish,
Snapper, and Snook in these waters. The Roosterfish is one of the strongest fish (pound for
pound) and they put up an incredible fight. Both Snapper and Snook are extremely delicious.
Inshore fishing is always a great time with plenty of action and lots of fun.
Captain Matt grew up at the beach in New Jersey and he has been around boats and fishing
his entire life. He has lived in the Dominical area and fished these waters for more than 15
years. He is a true fishing addict who takes every charter as a personal challenge to insure
that his guests enjoy the best possible fishing experience.
